Design your app for your users, not for you. Show empathy and put yourself in your users’ shoes: what's obvious to you is not necessarily obvious to them.

Get inspired by other apps and use their features. Don't reinvent the wheel! Take advantage of your users' browsing habits to make it easier for them to understand your service.

Focus on the main benefit of your app. The “Swiss army knife” app has too many functions. It may be tempting, but simplicity equals success!

Experiment and test several different configurations. Nothing is set in stone. Use the magnets and slate tablets to explore: design and erase over and over!
